Effect :
Two rings are borrowed from two spectators
as well as the performer’s ring. The
spectators are asked to thread a pencil
through all three rings. The two spectators
hold each end of the pencil, trapping the
rings from escape. They then turn their
backs while holding the ends of the pencil.
The magician shakes the rings on the pencil
a few times. He taps the pencil three times,
counting out-loud. The spectators, still
holding the ends of the pencil, turn around
to have a look! The rings are then slid
off the pencil revealing that they have
all linked together! In order to give back
the rings to the spectators, this miracle
is repeated in reverse. Following this,
the pencil and all rings are handed out
for inspection!
