Effect :
The performer shows both sides of a small
brass rod. A wooden peg is placed in the centre
hole and then jumps magically to an end hole.
This is repeated and the peg jumps to the
other end hole. Another peg is placed into
an end hole and it repeatedly jumps to the
centre. The pegs are then removed and when
the stick is handed out, there are NO HOLES
in it: only three indentations on each side.
Description :
An excellent effect that is easy to perform.
Although there are several other paddle-type
effects on the market, this one is outstanding
because of it's amazing ending.

The panels are then folded together to form

Effect :
The performer displays a case that is divided
into three compartments. The spectator inserts
three metal bolts, and is asked to secure
a finger ring (which can be borrowed) onto
one of the bolts. A clear cover is placed
over the box, to ensure it cannot be tampered
with. However, by simply covering the case
with a handkerchief, the ring magically flies
so that it is linked on a different metal
bolt. Everything can be examined before and
after this amazing effect.

Effect :
Five coloured sticks are displayed together
with a metal tube and lid. You turn away and
ask a spectator to place one of the sticks
into the tube, put the lid on it, and hide
the remaining sticks.
You turn back, pass the tube to the spectator,
concentrate, and then correctly name their
colour! Everything can then be examined

This effect was used by David Blaine to open
one of his TV specials. He borrowed a watch
from a man sitting in his car and checked
the correct time. He placed the watch back
in the man's hands and then asked him to think
of a number to move the time. The man said
'24' and after a few seconds of mental hocus-pocus,
the man opened his hands and saw the watch
indeed MOVE AHEAD 24 MINUTES! The reaction
was incredible!

Effect :
A nut, bolt, padlock and napkin are shown.
A spectator is asked to remove his or her
ring and place it around the bolt. The nut
is screwed onto the bolt, trapping the ring,
and the padlock is placed through the hole
at the end of the bolt, which now traps the
nut. The spectator covers the performers hands
with the napkin and is asked to slowly count
to three. On the count of three the napkin
is removed to reveal that the ring has escaped
from the nut and bolt! Everything can now
be handed out for examination
